Baroque guitars
Baroque guitars are copies of the 1690 Voboam guitar from
the Paris museum or the 1699 Voboam guitar from the The Hague
museum. The 1690 Voboam has a string length of 65 cm and 1699
Voboam a string length of 68 cm.All instruments have a beautiful
inlay and an original 3 D rosette.
Tuning is aa-dD-gg-bb-ee.
Woods and finish
All baroque guitars have an Alpine spruce sound- board. Sides
are made of 3 pieces of Rio rosewood laminated with bands of maple or
satin wood. Backs are made of 6 pieces of Rio rosewood laminated
with bands of maple or satin wood. Necks are ebony veneered over spruce
laminated with bands of maple or satin wood. Inlays are holly combined
with ebony or bone combined with ebony and holly.
3D rosette is gilded with bronze powder combined with white
parchment or with gold leaf and white parchment.
Sound-board finished with casein lacquer, back and sides
